Kalau potong 3, roti pun bahagi kepada 3 bahagian. Biasanya saya potong 3, tak lah besar sangat dapat pun banyak. Oh ya, sebelum roti dipotong, tekan atau penyekkan sedikit roti tu atau boleh juga gunakan penggelek untuk memadatkan roti tu. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengelakkan roti terlalu kembang masa dicelup ke dalam telur dan juga mengelakkan roti menyerap minyak berlebihan ketika digoreng. Jangan risau kerana roti akan mengembang semula ketika digoreng.</span><br />

Kemudian masukkan telur,shortening dan air dingin, adun doh hingga sebati dan akhirnya masukkan butter dan garam. Tinggikan kelajuan mesin pengadun. Adun sehingga doh benar-benar kembang. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">2. Sekiranya menggunakan tangan,masa yang digunakan adalah 25 minit dan 15 minit bagi menggunakan mesin. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">3. Tutup bekas adunan dengan tuala basah bagi mengelakkan doh kering dan letakkan pada suhu luar yang panas selama 40 – 60 minit untuk direhatkan sehingga doh naik sekali ganda. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">4. Setelah kembang, keluarkan doh dan letakkan di atas papan canai yang ditabur dengan sedikit tepung dan kaup dengan kedua-dua tangan untuk membuang gelembung angin. </span><br />

Gulung doh memanjang seperti baulu gulung. Potong gulungan tersebut 1.5 cm setiap satu. Rehatkan doh tersebut buat kali kedua selama 40 – 60 minit sehingga doh naik sekali ganda. </span><br />
